How to make a 3 Hearts Appliqué Valentine Pillow

Sewing for Valentine's Day

How to make a 3 hearts pillow for Valentine's Day.

You can add some Valentine charm in your home when you make this 3 hearts appliqué pillow!

The only supplies you will need for this 3 Hearts Valentine pillow is:

-two pieces of cream fabric measuring 11"X7.5"

-scrap pieces of red and pink fabric

-a heart pattern measuring about 4" (just draw yourself a heart)

Pin and cut out 3 hearts from 3 different Valentine fabrics.
Pin the 3 hearts in place on the PRETTY SIDE of ONE of the cream colored fabric pieces.
Place the pillow pieces PRETTY SIDES together. Pin around the outer edges.  Place two pins where you want to stop and start.  Leave about a 4" opening for turning and stuffing.

Notice on the right the double pins.  This is where I will not sew, and leave my opening for turning and stuffing.

Trim seams if necessary and clip corners.  Turn your pillow to pretty side out through the opening. Poke out corners gently with a pencil to make them pointy and professional looking.
Stuff the pillow and hand sew the opening closed!
Your 3 hearts appliqué Valentine's Day Pillow is done! Enjoy decorating your home with it.
