Appliquéd Quilts

Photo Pages 1 - 2

Sue made this quilt by looking at a photo of a couple at their wedding. Sue says, "The bride's mother is a coworker of my friend. I have never met the couple but they have a true love story and I am a sucker for romance. The couple were high school sweethearts and the groom was severely injured and in the hospital for a long, long while. The picture my friend sent me was already silhouetted and it screamed to be made into a quilt. This picture was taken before I completed it, but it's the only one I have." What a great job Sue did on this quilt, and with such meaning coming from the heart. The back ground was fabric pieces sewn together while the silhouette was appliquéd on.  This quilt combined different quilting methods for the final product.

Heather made this wonderful version of our country's 1776 American flag.  It will be hanging proudly in her family's  den.  GREAT JOB HEATHER!!!!!

Katherine made this fall rag quilt with appliquéd leaves on it. The color scheme on this quilt is beautiful.  Notice around each square how it is ragged.  This  took a lot of time to make, but the ending result is stunning!.

Kate also made the "African" quilt.  She originally made it for a friend but decided to keep it for herself.  She took her time and did a great job!
