Learn to make a felt owl family autumn wreath.

This precious Owl Family Wreath will welcome guest as they enter your home this fall season.

Free Autumn Sewing Project Tutorial:

How to Make a Family of Felt Owls Autumn Wreath

You Will Need:

1 12" or 18" grapevine wreath
raffia
artificial greenery and autumn pieces
green and brown craft moss
white, cream, brown, gray, green, red, and orange felt pieces (I used Heather felt squares.)
craft glue or hot glue
basic craft and sewing supplies

First, arrange the moss at the bottom of the wreath. I liked to do mine green on the outer parts and a light brown in the center. Then arrange any autumn or fall flowers or greenery you may have. Glue in place.
Add the raffia bow to the top left side of the wreath.

Set the wreath aside.

Let's make the family of felt owls, pumpkins, and flowers to add to our wreath.

Here is Nicky showing us how she tucked in bottom edges of the owl and then hand-sewed it closed.
Add the wings by hand-sewing or by glue.

Here is a close-up of a cute little "daddy" owl.

Add the little feet onto the felt owl. Here is a close-up of a "sister" owl. This cute little felt owl only has the feet, and no wings.

Be creative and make each owl to represent your family.

The "baby" felt owl can have her eyes closed. Just cut a piece of black felt to make a "U" shape for the eyes.

Lilly showing us her family owl wreath. She just wanted to do her and her twin sister on the wreath. Lily's owl family autumn wreath is place on the front door in their home welcoming guest as they enter.
Here is Anneleise's family wreath showing her self, and her mom and dad. Her family owl wreath is placed in her country kitchen during the fall season.
