Optional Step: (I coffee-stained my pink polka-dot fabric to
make my heart pillow look vintage and primitive.)
First you will need a heart pattern. Draw
yourself a heart any size you want. Mine was about 7"X6". You
can use my pattern here if you want to.
Print Button Heart Pillow Pattern Here
Make sure you set your printer to "fit" before printing.
Pin and cut out 2 hearts. |
Place the two fabric hearts
pretty sides together and pin around the outer edge. You will need to
leave a 3" opening for stuffing. Place double pins where you want to start
and stop to remind you not to sew there, as shown in the photo.
Stitch around the outer edge
using your pressure foot as your guide. Don't forget to leave the opening. |
Turn heart pretty side out. Stuff your heart with
fiberfill. |
Move and adjust the stuffing
so your heart looks evenly stuffed. Hand stitch the opening closed. |
Begin
sewing buttons on the heart. |
Your vintage Valentine button
pillow is done!
Happy Sewing!
