ANNUAL HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT PARTY at Love to Sew in Chadds Ford, PA
Join us for our annual Handmade Christmas Tree Ornament Party. Everyone is invited so bring a friend. Come relax, listen to Christmas music, enjoy the aroma of hot chocolate and homemade cookies as you create and sew beautiful tree ornaments. One of the best memories I have each Christmas is hanging up my family's handmade ornaments.  I would make a wish for each child and reminisce as I hung up their precious handmade ornaments. Join us in making new memories for your parents, grand-parents, friends, and even your children someday as you pass down the ornaments you made as a child.

Did you know... During the Victorian times (mid to late 1800's) decorations on a tree were a variety of handmade crafts. Young ladies spent hours making Christmas crafts, quilling snowflakes, hearts, and stars, sewing little pouches to hide secret gifts inside, making paper crafts, candy crafts, mini quilts, and tussie muffies (A tussie muffie is a ladies Victorian cloth hankie or lace type of paper wrapped like a cone and filled with flowers.) Small bead decorations were made and added to the tree.  Usually an angel  was placed at the top of the tree. Candles were placed at the ends of the branches and sometimes found in wooden hoops for safety. By the late 1860's small toys were hung on a tree.

HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS TREE SEWING PARTY INCLUDES
*All fabric, patterns, and supplies for your ornaments.  Stations will be set up with each ornament having its own supply box with the fabric, pattern, directions, and supplies, so that you can have more time to make more ornaments. For your keep sake handmade treasures we will be using patterns and fabrics from top designers like; Moda, Amy Butler, and Sandi Henderson.

*Light snacks and treats (we'll bring out the theatre popcorn machine for this party!)
*Use of our sewing machines
*Over 10 different ornaments to pick from, make as many as you can during the party! (star, birds of a feather, ice-skate, primitive tree, heart orni, angel, snowman, strawberry, pinwheel, and more...)
