Designing and Making Costumes for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair

Costume Design Photo Page 4

Having fun dressing up in handmade costumes for the Renaissance Fair.

Jessica (middle lady) designed and made her gown and Jim's matching vest with a silver dragon on the front.

A photographer at the fair was quit impressed with Jessica and Jim's outfits that he took photos of them!

Yes, my Lady...

"Yes, my lady...anything you wish..."

Boyfriend and Girlfriend sewing side by side.

A lot of work went into Jessica making her gown. Jim is working real hard too, fixing his pockets in his pants.

Jessica's gown looks like Queen Susan's.

She wanted to make it look like Queen Susan's Gown from "The Chronicles of Narnia" movie.

Jessica wanted no zippers or buttons so she made a tie up the back like a corset.

Jessica shows the back of her gown. Keeping it authentic, she has no buttons or zippers.

Sisters who sew and make costumes together, stay together.

Real men have a cigar in their mouth while sewing!

Real men don't use scissors to cut thread when sewing, they use a big knife!

This is how real men sew; with a cigar hanging out of their mouth, and instead of using scissors to cut thread, they use a hunting knife!
