Designing Straps for a
Summer Halter Top or Dress
Anyone can be taught to sew,
buy some fabric, follow a pattern, and make a top. However, it's the
little extra things that are added to an article of clothing that sets one
designer apart from another. Take a look at this cute summer top for
example.
The pattern called for regular fabric for the straps. However, check
out the different ideas a designer could use for this. |

And you can combine straps.
This is soft ribbon at the bottom and the fabric spaghetti strap over top. |
