Fabric in your
Garden? Turn a regular garden into a charming romantic site. |
 |
This is what my
"garden looked like after a long winters nap. One spring day in
March I decided to add more than just some flowers to my garden because I wanted a charming
entrance way to my home. |
|
So I grabbed my
gardening gloves, my garden apron, some flowers to plant, a trash bag,
shovel, rake, 1/4 yard of scrap fabric, and some odds and ins around the
house I don't use. |
 |
|
I did the usual, what
anyone else would do to their garden; raked the old leaves away, cleared out
the garden, and planted pretty flowers as you can see below.
|
|
|
But I wanted more
than this, I wanted something charming and romantic. What could I add? I
took some lavender scrap fabric that was laying
around the house and ripped it into strips. It matched my purple flowers
nicely. |
 |
 |
I found
some interesting things lying around the house that I could use outside and put my lavender
bows of fabric on. I found an old wooden kids chair in the trash, an old
basket in the basement that I ended up putting pinecones in, and a pair of antique gardening sheers
in the shed. I added a big fabric bow to each of them. |
|
The result? A cute
little romantic charming garden of bright lavender bows here and there.
With a little work, 1/4 yard of fabric, and a creative imagination, you can
do wonders.
