Appetizers, Dips and Spreads, & Finger Food Recipes:  Cheddar Cheese, Pecan, & Bacon Dip

Fabulous Bacon Cheddar Pecan Dip to go with garlic bagel crips.

This is with-out-a-doubt my family's number one appetizer recipe. It has a wonderful taste and is best served with garlic bagel chips.

Ingredients

-toast 1/2 cup pecans
-cook 9 bacon strips to a crisp and set aside
-grade one stick of Vermont white cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch of chopped scallions
garlic flavored bagel chips

Directions

Toast the pecans on a cookie sheet in oven for 30 minutes at 250 degrees F. Cook 9 bacon strips to a crisp, drain, and set aside. Grade one stick of Vermont White cheddar cheese.

Add 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 bunch of chopped scallions, the toasted pecans, and the broken up bacon strips to cheese. Stir together until well blended. Refrigerate until ready to use. Serve with garlic flavored bagel chips.

I hope you enjoy our favorite appetizer too!

About this recipe:

Each year when my daughter Jessica competed in gymnastics a large Christmas party was held with gift giving and great food for both the gymnasts and their families.  This recipe came from one of those parties back in 2000 from a gym mom, Barb.  This was such a hit at her house I had to tell my husband and kids (and myself) to get away from it so everyone else could eat it too. It has been our favorite since and is served at all our parties, especially our Christmas Eve open house.
