My Family's Favorite Dessert Recipes

Hey...when it comes to baking desserts...I'm not so lazy.  Yeap, that's right, I will have dessert in mind and sometimes made by 12noon, when I haven't even thought about what is for dinner.  I grew up making the desserts for a family of seven. Now I have a family of six, all of which have a "sweet tooth." Hope you enjoy some of our favorite great dessert recipes.

My Family's Favorite Dessert Recipes

Jessica's Strawberry Cake & Icing

Aunt Betty's Strawberry Angel Bites

Aunt Joan's Philadelphia Butter Cake

Sarah's Old-fashioned Molasses Sugar Cookies

Aunt Peggi's Orange Brownies

Nana's Easy Peach Cobbler

Aunt Carole's Chocolate Chip Cake

Aunt Carole's Mini Cherry Cheese Cakes

Aunt Dorothy's Raspberry Cream Pie

On an occasional Saturday or Sunday afternoon my daughters and I will make double batches of a couple of desserts. Each dessert is put in an aluminum foil pan, covered tightly with foil, and put in the freezer for a later night.  With a permanent thick black marker we write what the dessert is, and the date. The foil pans can be purchased at your local Wal-mart or Kmart and are great for clean up, just trash them when dinner and dessert are done. Quick and Easy! This helps preparing dinner and dessert a lot easier on those busy nights I'm teaching sewing or running the kids to their activities.
