PROJECT: "fashion
FORWARD"
for inspiring designers

Design it, Make it, Model
it...
Sketch an outfit of your
choice. Make or buy a pattern, alter it, and make your garment, your
way, your design, your look. This
years theme is - PROJECT: "fashion
FORWARD". Just send photos NOT THE GARMENT. We don't want to
risk loosing something in the mail that you worked so hard on.
BE CREATIVE
Rules:
The rules are plain
and simple:
-sketch an outfit of your
choice (no copying, this must be your original sketch or your original
design)
-buy or make a pattern
-make your outfit. Be creative !!! Do your
own thin. Remember this is YOUR design
so have fun with it. Judging is based on a 100 point scale and you will be
judged by 3 judges:
possible 40 points for
creativity and originality in 4 different areas
possible 40 points for
construction/sewing in 4 different areas
possible 20 points for fit
of challenge in 2 different areas
totaling 100 possible
points per judge
-you may enter up to two
designs, however, each design must have it's own entry form, photos,
and contest fee.
-neatly print your
name, age, address, and e-mail address, on the back of each photo and
sketch.
-Please send 3 GOOD &
CLEAR photos of your project, the entry form, your sketch, and a $10.00 contest fee to
the address below by the deadline, December 30, 2008:
Age Divisions:
Novice Division: ages
8-11
Junior Division: ages
12-14
Senior Division: ages
15-18
Elite Division: ages
19-35
Senior Elite Division:
ages 36 and up
This contest is open to designers who live in the USA, UK,
Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
Awards & Prizes:
1st - 3rd place -
Award Ribbons in each division
score of 294-300 Award of
Superior
score of 2
Award of Outstanding
Award of Excellence
Great Job Award
One Overall/Outstanding
Adult winner in either Division of Senior or Senior Elite, which the
judges select, and One Overall winner in either of the child
Division, which the judges select, will win a certificate for the best "Fashion Forward"
Design of 2008, a fashion design note pad, and a fashion design t-shirt,
and a fashion design reference book.
All winning garments
photos will be displayed on the website!
