How about visiting Mood Fabric store, or Macy's where the Project RUNWAY show's winning designs are displayed, or even Bryant park.

Fabric Row in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... "Fabric Row" on the streets of Philadelphia dedicated to fabric, trims, and more!

Lancaster, Pennsylvania...home of the Amish Country, where you will find many quilt shops, craft shops, and fabric shops!

   

 

Williamsburg, Virginia...Would you like to see how sewing and fashion began in the US?  Visit Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia where you can find reenactors who still sew gowns by hand in the local Millinery.

Most fabrics back then were natural fabrics such as cotton, woven homespun, and wool. There were no man-made poly type fabrics.  EVERYTHING was sewn by hand.
