DESIGNERS: PLEASE STOP BY THE STUDIO TO PICK UP YOUR FASHION SHOW PACKET WHICH HAS ALL THE PAPER WORK NEEDED TO BE IN THE SHOW. DEADLINE FOR ALL PAPERWORK, FEES, AND MUSIC TO BE HANDED IN BY THURSDAY SEPTEMBER, 8, 2011.

 
Rules and Regulations:
Eligibility:
1. Students must be enrolled during the current year at Love to Sew Studio.  Enrollment includes: weekly classes, summer camps, and/or  private lessons.
2. All students must construct a minimum of a three piece everyday look cohesive collection, and a maximum of four pieces. Students must show a three piece collection to be able to enter any of the optional special categories.
3. All students must model at least one of her own looks. You are welcome to have models for other looks and the special categories.
4. Students must be ages 7-18.
 
Rules:
 
1. All students will be in charge of supplying their own models.
2. Students must fill out our official forms and hand the forms and any applicable fees in by the deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS (Due in the studio on or before Thursday, September 8, 2011)
3. Junior division is ages 7-12.6 (7 years old - 12 years, 6 months). Senior division is ages 12.7 (12 years, 7 months -18 years old). This is determined by your age by the day of the show.
4. Students must be quiet and respect the property where the show is held.
5. Students are responsible for their models' behavior.
6. Looks and costumes must be appropriate for a family audience.
7. Seventy percent of your look must be handmade.
8. All looks and costumes must be made by you, the designer.
9. Designers must provide music, collection title, and a brief paragraph of their inspiration for their collection.
10. Once a look or costume has been in a competition category it may not be used again in a competition category. However, you may use the look in a regular line.
 

 

Special Categories:
 
Special Categories : Designers may enter a look in our special category. Designers may only enter one look in each special category. Showing looks in the special categories is optional not required. (But highly encouraged!)
The Four Elements - Designers must create a look inspired by one of the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth.
Look Book - Students have the option of making a Look Book also known as a portfolio. This book will consist of photos of your three or more piece collection. Each look must have it's own 8x10 photo accompanied by fabric samples and sketches.
