How to make a Felt Candy
Hearts
Sewing for Valentine's
Day

Now you can make a sweet
craft to display in your home this Valentine's Day.

The only supplies you will
need for this is scraps of felt in Valentine colors, and fabric paint. |

Make yourself a heart pattern
about 7" from computer paper. From
that pattern make another one but smaller.
Now you should have two size heart
patterns. |

Pin and cut out some hearts to
sew up. Remember you will need two (front and back) for each heart.
I used pinking shears but you do not have to,
regular scissors will work fine. |

If you want to have one small
heart sewn onto a larger one stitch it in the center of ONE of your heart
pieces. |

Pin hearts together and begin
sewing using the pressure foot as your guide.
When you have about 4" left, stop sewing, keep
your needle in the heart and very gently stuff your heart.
You DO NOT need a lot of stuffing in your
heart. Remember felt is a pressed fabric, so it can stretch out of
place easily. Only put a little bit of stuffing in. |

Stitch up the opening closed. |

Paint Valentine love notes and
sayings on your hearts! |
