How to Make an easy
Fleece Scarf (with Floral Rosettes)
 |
 |
Cut out 2 pieces of
fleece fabric measuring 8" X 60" (or however short or long you
want your scarf to be). Pin the two pieces pretty sides
together. Leave an opening large enough to turn it. Straight
stitch using a 1/4" seam allowance around the scarf. Don't forget to
leave an opening! Clip corners and trim seams.
Turn to pretty side out. Press scarf flat. Hand sew the
opening closed. Your scarf is done, but let's add some rosettes to spice
it up a little bit! |
|
 |
Let's Make Fabric Rosettes: Using a cup and saucer plate
as your pattern, cut out as many circles as you want. One circle
equals one rosette. |
|

|
Hand sew a running stitch on
the outside of the circle. Pull the thread tight forming a rosette.
Knot it.
With your fingers and thumb move the fabric
to make a perfect circle rosette.
Do this to all of your circles. |
 |
Cut out leaves to go in
between the rosettes for extra color and beauty. Hand sew the rosettes
and leaves at the end of your scarf like shown. If desired, hand sew
buttons in the center of your rosettes on the scarf. |
