One of our "Camp Project
RUNWAY's" challenge was to take old denim jeans and turn them into
something new! This was a very exciting and somewhat difficult
challenge since the girls only had 6 hours to cut up old jeans and turn
them into an article of clothing or an accessory. Can you guess who won
this challenge?
This is a group who gets
together at a YMCA and has monthly outings. They came to me and said they
want to learn to sew. That's not an unusual request. But they
took it a step further. They wanted to learn to sew and to recycle
an old pair of jeans also. I was so impressed by this group of girls
and their desire to learn! You can see their projects individually on our
