How to Make a Hippie
Chick Long Tie-Back Headband
|

|

Learn to make this
quick and easy
long, tie-back headband.
You can make it to match your skirt.
This Hippie Chick look is part of our "Every Style Has a Common Thread" ad.
It's a great project to do with left over fabric!
|

|

|
Cut a piece of fabric 8" X 45".
If you don't enough left over fabric that
measures 45" simply cut two pieces 8" by 23". Pin and stitch the short ends
(8") pretty sides together. Stitch down the seam
using the pressure foot as your guide. (1/4" seam allowance.) |
|
 |
Place the headband on a
table so it is one long strip. Fold the headband in half long ways,
pretty sides together. Pin the one long side and one short side. Stitch
a 1/4" seam. Leave the other short side open. |
 |
Turn the headband pretty side
out. Gently poke out the corners. Press the head band nice and flat.
Tuck under the raw edges of the open end,
press, hand stitch closed. |
 |
Your long tie-back headband is
done! |
