How to Knit
Learn to Cast Off / Learn
to Bind Off

Cast off or Bind off is done
at the end of your project or block that you will want to make when you
are knitting something. An example would be when you are done
knitting a scarf, you will want to bind off the end.
|
| |
Knit two Stitches |
| |
Insert the
left needle into the front of the first stitch on the right needle. Using
the left needle, pull the first stitch up and over the second stitch. You
can place your forefinger on the second stitch to hold it in place and
keep it from coming off the needle. |
| |
Now push
that stitch off of the left needle completely. |
| |
Knit one
more stitch and repeat steps 2 and 3. Continue this process until you have
bound off the desired number of stitches. When you have one stitch
remaining, cut yarn three inches long and pull through loop.
