Appliqué Quilt Contest Results - 2006

"Little Stitches Sewn with Love"

We had a great response to our 2006 Appliqué Quilt Contest. Posted is our 1st Place Winners in the Adult and Child divisions, the Over-all Adult Winner, and the Over-all Child Winner. Everyone made such beautiful quilts! Some of the photos that were scanned, cropped, and re-sized do not due justice of how beautiful the quilts are!

Child Division:

Judges Choice Winner:

Martina's Cheerleading Quilt (Aston, PA)

Over-all Winner & Visual Impact Winner:

Bethany's Under the Sea Quilt (Kennett Square, PA)

Adult Division:

Most Creative Winner:

Carin's Family Tree Quilt (Oakdale, MN)

Best Use of Fabric Winner:

Louise's Angel Doll Quilt (Decatur, AL)

Judge's Choice Award and Over-all Winner:

Lenore's "The History of my 9-11 Memorial Quilt" ( Merrillville, IN)

We decided to show a close-up for the winning over-all quilt. The flags on the quilt had a meaning, the 9-11 stamp replaces how we are still bond together, even the back side of the quilt has appliquéd' on it to remind us to Never Forget.

Thank you to all who entered.
