How to get that fabric computer
paper to work.
Even though the memory quilt is quite
easy to sew and put together, the most difficult and costly part is the
fabric computer paper and computer ink. The good computer
fabric papers are about $2.50 each, so if your computer or ink cartridge
isn't cooperating, each paper you mess up is $2.50 PLUS the cost of
ink. One time I used 13 sheets of paper to get one photograph to work.
You do the math, needless to say I was not a happy camper. After much
trial and error, phone calls to computer companies and the fabric
companies, here is the best solution we all came up with.
-make sure your sheet of computer
fabric paper is FLAT as can be, no wrinkles or bent corners FLAT, FLAT,
FLAT
-only put in ONE sheet of computer
fabric in at a time
-make sure your ink cartridges are
FULL
-set your printing at the highest and
best setting for your print quality
-set your paper setting on "high
gloss" finish
I hope this helps. Still an
occasional fabric paper will jam in the computer but it is not near as bad
as it was before I found out these ideas. |
