Well after 35 years of
sewing, and buying fabrics at awesome fabric places like "Fabric Row" in
Philadelphia, PA, "Zook's Fabric Shop" in Lancaster, Pa, The Fabric
Outlets in Chicago, IL,...I finally went to Mood Designer Fabrics in
Manhattan, New York City, NY.
"WOW!" is about all I can
say! It was amazing. Hundreds of rolls of fabrics. They have
them divided in sections of silks and designers, cottons, and knits. The
down stairs is for trims and upholstery. I didn't even get a chance to
shop there, (just took a peak.)

At the entrance one
can find several manikins draped in garments.

Many photos of Project
RUNWAY designer's models wearing garments made from fabric provided by
"Mood" are displayed through out the store.

If you plan on visiting New
York and intend on going to Mood Designer Fabrics, I suggest you make a
list of what you need, plan on staying for hours, and try not to get to
overwhelmed! |
