Autumn Owl Family Wreath Workshop |
|

This was probably the most rewarding workshop
of 2011! Our inspiration for this Owl Family Workshop was found on
Etsy.com under the person woolcrazy. She made a wreath similar to this
from the beautiful art form of needle felting wool. Everything on her
wreath was made with wool. We made our embellishments on the wreath from
sewing felt and fabrics to form the owls, flowers, and pumpkins. We
designed each owl to be a little different just like people. Our owls were
done to represent snow owls, baby owls, grey owls, and brown owls. Some
had wings, and some had feet. |
|

First you cut out and design
your owls. Lots of hand sewing was done for this project! |

Once your owl top is
embellished sew the front to back pretty sides together leaving an opening
for turning. Sew, turn, stuff, and sew opening closed. |

Here's some of our little
pumpkins! These were made from fabric rosettes that you stuff to make them
pumpkins. |

Here's all our wreaths with
the green moss and flowers added. The owls, pumpkins, and flowers were
added last. |
