At the correct position
indicated on your pattern piece cut the paper on the line.
Open up the cut on your
pattern paper.
Place other paper under your
pattern piece. Open the cut pattern piece to the desired amount and
tape both parts of the pattern to the backing paper. Make sure the
straight of grain line is still straight.
Draw new cutting lines, any marking lines like
darts or pleats, and straight of grain line on your back paper.
