Use a pipe cleaner to clean the lint out of your bobbin area of your sewing machine.

When I first heard about using a pipe cleaner to clean out the lint and dust in the bobbin area of the sewing machine I was a little skeptical. I have eight sewing machines in the studio which are used about eight to ten hours a day by both children and adults. You can imagine the lint and dust that can occur with that much usage on the machines. But, as you can see by the photo on left, once I tried it, it worked very well. The photo shows what came up with the first scoop in the bobbin area of the machine.
Since my machines are in use so much the bobbin well gets filled with fuzzies, dirt, and lint that often cause my machines to jam up, or makes the machines sound and feel heavy and loud. Using a chenille pipe cleaner works great to clean it out, and it's reusable and inexpensive. The chenille attracts the fuzz, and the pipe cleaner is small enough to get into all the tight spots.
