Plaid Pleated Skirt that was designed for school. No pattern was used and all the pleating was done by hand.

Knit dress that was made by draping.  No pattern was used to create this dress.  Many fittings were required to get the right fit. When working with knit fabrics a different kind of stitch must be used.

First couture dress!  The base of this dress was a bra. Almost the entire dress was sewn by hand. Notice the detailed pleating that was done at the waistline.

A fully lined winter coat.  The outer layer of the coat was made from a brown/tan/blue scroll print corduroy fabric. The trim around the cuffs and outside of the coat was made from tan fleece for warmth, and the coat was lined in a brown print cotton fabric.

Heather won 3rd Place in the 2007 "Little Black Dress" challenge at camp Project RUNWAY with this dress that she designed and made in 5 hours with no patterns.

2007 Work

A bubble lined skirt with a side zipper. It is made from cotton silky sheer fabric and is lined with black lining.

Inspired by Project RUNWAY season's three "Man's Best Friend" challenge, a cute summer halter dress was made and a matching light coat for puppy dog. It's fun sewing for your pet!

Silk baby doll pajamas made with French seams

Heather made this "Keyhole" halter top with a side zipper. She made it from cotton silk fabric.

2006 Work

Peasant blouse top with added ruffle, and skirt designed and made with no pattern.

Zip up black denim jeans trimmed in red  top stitching and with red button. Many pockets front, back, and side were placed on and flat-felled seams were used.
