Everything Halloween
& Fall - Don't Carve a Pumpkin..., Decorate it!
Is it just me or do those carving kits you buy
for your pumpkins never look the way you want them to? And I want my yard
and porch to look different then everyone else's, so let's get crazy with
our pumpkins! Here's two ways to try something different. |
|

|
Glitter Pumpkin:
This project will take you
back to first grade, except now you have a steady hand.
You can use
any size or any color pumpkin for this. All you will need is Elmer's glue
and glitter. |
|
 |
Draw any design you want with your glue and then sprinkle
your glitter over the glue. Make sure you do not squeeze too much glue
onto your pumpkin because it will drip. |
|

|
Allow glue to dry and enjoy
your decorative glittered pumpkin. |
|

|
Paper Pumpkin Face:
I think
owls are really cute, so that was my inspiration for this design. You
will need Halloween themed scrap-booking paper, push pins, and a
pumpkin. |
|

|
I picked two different prints and layered different cut
circles to give more detail for the owl eyes. I pinned them together
with a push pin (found at Michaels craft store) and poked them right
into the pumpkin. I painted a dark brown triangle for his nose. You can
have your decorative pumpkins sitting outside, but if the rain comes you
will want to bring your pumpkins onto your porch.
Have fun!
XOXO,
Ashley |
