Quilt Shows

Quilt shows are sewwwwww much fun to go to.  You can win prizes, get great ideas, buy quilt patterns and fabric, but most of all, see some AWESOME BEAUTIFUL QUILTS !!!

Our first field trip was to a quilt show, the Undercover Quilters, "Piece on Earth" which was held in Media, Pennsylvania.  There were eight of us who went and we had a great time!  Here are some pictures from our wonderful trip and the beautiful and well made quilts we saw.

Here we are at one of our favorite quilts, the "Mermaid's pleasure" .  It may be small in size but it was big and beautiful in detail!
Here is Amber next to a beautiful rag quilt made by John.  Amber made this quilt in a much, much, smaller  version last Christmas for her mom.  We got to meet John, who was helpful and an encouragement to the girls to continue to make quilts!.
Here is little Bridgette carrying the BIG BASKET of fabric that she won! The girls were so excited and can't wait to come to class to start sewing again!

Here are the girls making black kitty cat pins for Halloween.  This was some thing the show offered for kids to do.  They also received a free hot dog for filling out a paper in regards to the quilts that were displayed. The girls also won other door prizes.  We had a great time and definitely want to go to more quilt shows!
