This rag quilt photo was sent in by Linda from Ohio who loves to make rag quilts. She made it in the colors of her children's high school Whitehall-Yearling in Whitehall, Ohio. She is thinking of making another one to be auctioned off to make money for the marching band....Great idea.

Rag quilts are awesome to make. There is no right or wrong side of a raggedy quilt. Since this is a "Rag Quilt" the best fabric to use would be fabrics that "rag" nicely. Fabrics like cotton, denim, homespun, and flannel work well. Fleece does not "rag" well, but the fleece quilt looks awesome when it is complete because of the thickness around the seams with the fringe.
