Rag, Raggedy, Ragged Quilt

Photo Page 4

Deb from Ireland Makes a beautiful rag quilt from native fabric prints!

Deb from Ireland sends us this photo of her stunning kiwi raggedy throw that she made for her husband (a new Zealander.) It is made from native prints like: ferns, kiwi birds and Maori art.

Not one of the same piece of fabric was used for this raggedy quilt.

Rosemary from St. John's, NL, Canada sends us this beautiful raggedy charm quilt they she made.  It has 96 squares and each one is cut from a different fabric.

A handmade raggedy lap quilt looks pefect on a chair!

Michele from NY purchased one of our raggedy quilt kits and made this beautiful cinnamon and coffee color raggedy quilt for her home. What a perfect match for the leather chair!

These two rag quilts were made from fleece fabric.  Linda from Oregon says they are great cuddlers and are simple and quick to make!

This quilt comes to us from Margo who lives in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.  She decided she wanted to try her hand at making a rag quilt and what a wonderful quilt she made! Her quilt was made with three layers of complementary flannel. One side is a pink, mauve, and mint green floral, the middle was mint green, and the other side was a blue, pink, and mint green floral.  These prints really look nice together! Here is a close-up of the raggedy part.

Here is Bethany from County Armagh, N Ireland.  She is showing us her Raggedy Cushion that she made as a birthday present for her friend Amy's 9th birthday. What a great handmade gift to give someone!

Love the colors!

A very nice shabby chic pink and green handmade raggedy pillow.

Here is Bethany creating her raggedy pillow simply by following our directions, which you can find here.

Rag quilts are awesome to make. There is no right or wrong side of a raggedy quilt. Since this is a "Rag Quilt" the best fabric to use would be fabrics that "rag" nicely.  Fabrics like cotton, denim, homespun, and flannel work well. You can make a quick and easy rag quilt too. Just buy your favorite fabric prints and colors...or don't feel like cutting all those squares?  Well we offer PRE-CUT RAGGEDY Quilt kits in many colors and sizes.
