Rag quilts are awesome and fun to
stitch up. There are no right or wrong sides to a raggedy quilt. Both sides are
pretty! The best fabric to use for making rag quilts are fabrics that rag or
fray nicely, like: cotton, denim, homespun, and flannel.

Debbie from Dallas, TX
sewed this memory raggedy quilt as a birthday gift for her sister. She used
their mom's old blouses and housecoats and added some vintage embroidered
items and some chenille as well as some new fabrics she let her sister
chose. What a WONDERFUL idea and
gift...., to be treasured forever!

Charlene from South Carolina shares with us her raggedy quilt story. She
started off by making a baby blanket but it just kept getting bigger and
bigger until it covered her king size bed. This beautiful colorful
raggedy quilt was sewn with 4" squares from flannel with no quilt
batting in the middle.
