Sewing and Making Kitty Cat stuffed animals

How to make a Fabric Kitty Cat

I Love kitty cats!!!! Especially Hand made ones!!!

About Kitty Cats - Kitty Cats are fun to make.  Unlike a real cat, you can add dresses and bows to your stuffed kitty cat as seen above in the picture.  The kitty cat shown above was made for me by a friend who makes crafts and sells them.
Best type of Fabric to use- Light weight or medium weight cotton fabric would be the best fabric for sewing kitty cats.  Fake fur would make a nice fabric for sewing kitty cats also.  If you are making a kitty cat, and an outfit for your cat, muslin would be the best fabric for the kitty cat body.
Easy type Pattern - An easy kitty cat pattern would be one with just 1 pattern piece.  Below is an easy sewing kit where you could purchase a pattern like that.
Difficult type Pattern - The photo above would be more of a difficult pattern.  It has 6 pattern pieces just to make that little kitty cat.
Pattern Pieces - Pattern pieces for kitty cats can be as little as one, and up to many.  Remember the basic rule, MOST of the time, the more pattern pieces and the smaller the pattern pieces are, the more difficult the project is.
Cost & Fabric usage - It doesn't take much fabric to make a little kitty cat, but the bigger ones require more fabric.  A 10" kitty cat might require about a 1/2 of a yard of fabric.
Comments - The best thing about stuffed animal kitty cats is, if you are allergic to cats.....You can have them all over your house anyway...and you can give each one of them their own personality, by, their facial expression, the body, and the clothes you put on them.
