Jaqi's big foot pillow sewing project.

Miss Jaqi and 2 of her pillows she made, a big foot pillow with the toe nails of all different colors, and a tie-dye heart shaped pillow

Jamie first sewing project at school.

Miss Jamie and a big handmade pillow she made at her middle school.  She got a 97 - A.  Very good Jamie.

Here is a star pillow using 5 different diamond shape pieces of fabric for a rainforest bedroom.

An awesome star pillow of tiger print and greens to go in Jessica Rain Forest room.

A groovy handmade rainbow pillow with black fur on the back.

Alex just wasn't sure what clothing project she wanted to start one night at sewing, so instead of making clothes, she began cutting strips of fabric and sewing them together. She ended up making this very cool rainbow pillow with black fur as the backing.  A groovy pillow like this one, mixing all the prints and colors of the fabrics with fur, would have been found in my bedroom back in the mid 70s!

Adding fabric rosettes to a pillow can make a pretty flower garden pillow.

Evangeline and her 2nd handmade project, a cloud pillow with flowers and stems. There was no sewing pattern used for this, we just designed it ourselves.

Fringed fleece pillows are the easiest kinds of pillows to sew therefore making it a great first sewing project for kids.

Tiger and Leopard fleece pillows

Zigzag applique on pillows is fun to do.

Amber on the right, drew her beach scene on paper and then cut out and appliquéd each little piece on the front of her pillow. Then added felt so the ends of the pillow could be fringed.

The girls sew an icecream cone pillow and a scoccer pillow.

Kristina, Katherine, and Maddie showing their pillows they made.

8 year old Shannon makes a colorful star pillow.

Shannon and her pink and green star pillow.  This was a pretty difficult project to sew with all the pivoting of the points, and 90 degree angles, but Shannon did a great job.

We Highly recommend these books on Sewing and Making Pillows to anyone who wants to learn to sew or is just getting back into sewing.  They are an excellent resource to get you on the right track for your sewing skills.
