Now let's make a heart pattern. Take an
8.5"X11" piece of computer paper and fold the short ends
together. Draw a half of a heart as shown using as much of the paper as
possible. Cut it out. Pin heart pattern onto fabric and cut two for
bottom/ biggest heart. |
 |
For the medium heart, using
your heart pattern, draw
a line 1.25" in closer to the center on the heart pattern creating a
smaller heart. Cut out new heart pattern. Pin and cut out two hearts of
the medium heart fabric print. |
 |
For the smallest heart, draw
another line 1.25" in closer to the center. Cut. Use new heart pattern and
cut out two hearts from fabric being used for smallest heart. |
 |
Pin the fabric heart pieces
pretty sides together. Leave a 4" opening to one side of heart for turning
and stuffing. Stitch around heart using the pressure foot as your guide.
Do this to all three hearts. |
 |
Turn hearts pretty side out
and gently poke the point area of the heart. Stuff the hearts and hand
stitch the opening closed. Stack
hearts in order from biggest to smallest starting from the bottom. Tie a
pretty ribbon around the hearts. Happy Sewing!
