About the Instructor:

  Jamie Marie Harris

Jamie’s passion is musical theatre, singing, dancing, and acting. Over eleven years of dance training, Jamie has competed in solo and group dance throughout the east coast winning awards such as silver, gold, platinum and highest score. She has done community theatre for many years, adding up to more than 18 musicals she has starred in. In the summer of 2007, she competed in and attended the Gospel Music Association  where she placed in the semi finals out of hundreds of contestants. She even auditioned for American Idol two seasons ago, but unfortunately did not make the cut. Recently, Jamie moved to Orlando, FL  for five months to film a new reality TV show called Triple Threat, a show for teens who sing, act, and dance. Jamie made it to the top five contestants. Jamie Marie also appeared on national television on NBC's America's Got Talent as a singing/dancing duet with friend Daniel Bass. Jamie is now focusing on writing and recording original music for her new album she is self producing, while still performing in musicals and concerts throughout the Tri-State area.
