Suzie" my 1st doll can be sewn by hand or by machine. Sewing Kit comes
complete with PRE-CUT tea-stained muslin fabric for doll body, PRE-CUT
fabric for doll dress, ribbon for dress, sun flower bouquet, straw hat,
ribbon for back of hat, lace collar, hair, and color photographed
directions that are KID TESTED.

Our learn to sew kits are a
well-planned educational program.
They are appealing to children and make learning to sew, quilt,
fashion design, & craft fun and easy. We designed our children's
sewing kits from our own patterns with easy to follow color photograph
directions. Our goal in making these educational kits is to share the
art of sewing, crafting, quilting, and fashion design with children and
adults so that other people can also enjoy this wonderful hobby.
We have the desire to help people of all ages learn to sew,
quilt, fashion design, craft, and preserve a skill that is slowly
disappearing from our culture.
About Our Sewing Kits

| Your "Sunflower Suzie"
muslin doll or cloth doll would be something very similar to what you
would have made if you were a child in the days of the past. Muslin
dolls and cloth dolls were very popular back in the 1800's. Plastics and
other man-made fabrics were not around so moms and grandmas would usually
make their children muslin dolls from left over scraps of fabric or give
the left over fabric to the child to sew. |

That is, left over fabric once clothes
were provided for, quilts were made, and aprons were made. Then, a muslin
doll or cloth doll would have been made. Cloth doll patterns were not used
therefore each doll was unique in it's own way. This also would have been
one of your only toys, and you treasured it dearly. Your "Sunflower Suzie" handmade muslin doll is a
