Stay WARM This Winter by Stitching Up a Raggedy Quilt. They are Quick and Easy to Sew and Make Great Presents!

How to make an Autumn Reversible Table Runner

You will love your handmade autumn reversible table runner.  And when the Harvest holidays are done, flip your table runner to the other side and you're ready for Christmas. It's as easy as 3 steps!

For this project you will need: two different kinds of fabric; perhaps one of a fall print and one of a Christmas print, and basic sewing needs.

This is a quick and easy project.  First you will need some nice fall fabric and Christmas fabric. How long and wide you want your table runner to be will be up to you.  Do you want it the length of your table? 1/2 of your table? Just a square in the middle of your table?

So you must determine that.  Then cut the same length and width from your fall fabric and your Christmas fabric.

Then you must determine how you want the ends of your runner to look.  Do you want it rounded?  If so, try using a dinner plate at the end to make it round.

I wanted mine pointed.  To do that, fold the ends in to form a point and cut the fabric at the angle as shown in the photo.

Now that your fabric pieces are ready, pin both pieces PRETTY SIDES together matching ends.

Leave a 5" opening on one side.

Stitch 1/4" seam around the outer edge.  Don't forget to leave the opening.

Clip corners and trim seams.

Turn pretty side out.

Press.

Hand stitch the opening closed.

Press again.

Your wonderful table runner is ready to be displayed on your table along with your favorite  center piece!
