| How to
Make a Set of Thanksgiving Hot Pads |
|
| You will
Need: |
| about
1/2 yard of Thanksgiving fabric |
| about
1/2 yard of quilt batting |
| raffia |
| basic
sewing needs |
|

Cut both Thanksgiving fabric and
quilt batting the following sizes: two
10"x15" |
 |
Place two 9"x9" fabrics pretty sides
together on top of one 9"x9" quilt batting. Pin around outer edge as
shown. Leave a 4" opening on one side.
Stitch around outer edge using the pressure foot as your guide. Don't
forget to the leave the opening. |

Clip corners.
Turn hot pad pretty side out through the opening.
Gently poke out corners.
Press flat. |
 |
Hand stitch the opening closed. |
 |
With chalk or fabric pen trace the
leaf template provided above. Stitch
around the leaf pivoting at the points.
Top stitch around the outer edge of the hot pad. |

Make the other 9"x9" hot pad and the
10"X14" hot pad in the same manner.
Roll up the hot pads together and add a raffia bow.
