Giada's Seasoned Tortilla chips

You can bake these seasoned tortilla chips in no time.

If you watch Everyday Italian on the cooking channel then you will know how great Giada's recipes are.  Another appetizer that I make for all my parties is her Seasoned Tortilla chips! Easy to make, taste great, and easy to eat!

Giada's Seasoned Tortilla chips

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

12 (6 inch) corn tortillas (cut into3/4 inch wide strips)

1 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt

preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Line 2 heavy large baking sheets with aluminum foil.  Whisk the oil, oregano, and pepper in a small sauce pan over medium heat just until it is warm. Set aside for about 20 minutes. Brush the mixture over both sides of the cut tortillas.  Arrange the strips in a single layer over the baking sheets.  Sprinkle the cheese and salt over the strips.  Bake until the strips are golden brown and crisp, about 12 minutes.

These can be made 1 or 2 days before your party and stored in an airtight contaner.
