Making a T-shirt Quilt

One of the 1st steps in making a T-shirt quilt.

About T-shirt Quilts - T-shirt quilts are an awesome way to hold onto memories.  They make a fantastic gift for some one. The example I will be showing you is a quilt I made from 11 years of memories at gymnastic competitions from all over the world for my daughter who competed in National and International Rhythmic and Artistic gymnastics. (photos of Jessica)
Best Fabric to Use - The best fabric would be a cotton or a nice soft flannel.
Easy type Pattern - The easiest type of T-shirt quilt to make is to cut and even amount of squares using the same fabric OR different ones. An ideal square would be 12 - 14 inches. Then cut out your T-shirts and zigzag them on.
Difficult type Pattern -  N/A
Cost & Fabric Usage - Fabric usage depending on the size of your quilt will vary from 2 yards to about 4.  The cost for making one of these quilts in minimal because you already have the T-shirts.
Comments - This is a VERY FUN and REWARDING quilt to make.  It is also one of the easiest kind of quilts to make.  Good luck and e-mail if you have any questions. OR photos for me to post on my site.  Judi I have other t-shirt quilts to make, karate, dance,  theatre,  weightlifting, and wrestling. (In my spare time of course.)  As I make them I will share more photos and ideas.

T-Shirt Quilts are such a great way to hold onto memories and special events. It is a quilt made from T-shirts from special times or places in your life like; athletic events, schools, bands, or favorite children's wear.  Your memory T-shirt quilt has unlimited possibilities.
