Cheerleading was and still
is Alyssa's passion. But she turned nineteen and moved onto college and
had to leave the squad she was with for ten years. Tears came after each
last competition until her final one. Her mom decided to have her t-shirts
made into this awesome memorable quilt for her to take onto college!
Cindy made this wonderful
t-shirt quilt for her son and daughter-in-law. She used all their high
school and college sports t-shirts.
Check out Emily's AWESOME
T-shirt quilt she made. She picked 12 of her favorite t-shirts from
her favorite activities like sewing, softball, and reading to make this
quilt. Great job Emily!!!
I love this handmade t-shirt quilt. Not only
in the quilt aspect with the great job of how it was done, or the bright
colors, but also what the t-shirts stand for. A student of mine wanted to
make this quilt for her husband who's dangerous job was leave home when
called to handle the large wild fires throughout the United States. What a
dangerous job. And what a commitment to leave your home for days at a time
to put out gigantic uncontrollable fires. (This is the stuff you see on
TV.)
Notice the
quilting stitches pattern below. It's pine trees. How appropriate.
Here is a photo of
the T-shirt quilt that I made my daughter. She was a Rhythmic
Gymnast and I took her best t-shirts from her best gymnastics meets and made this
awesome quilt. She was very happy and surprised when I gave it to
her. Now my other 3 children are waiting patiently for their t-shirt
quilts. For Free

This person who
made this T-shirt quilt made it for her husband for Christmas.
Just like me, she needs to make more now for her daughters too.
She made her quilt a little differently by cutting the shirts, then
applying stabilizer to the squares.
