Free Vintage Halloween Sewing
Project:
How to make
a
Vintage Halloween Pillow
Bring back some memories of
the 1940's when you make this vintage Halloween pillow. A great gift for a
grand parent. |

For this project you will need:
one 1.5" x 45" strip of black fabric
one 3" x 45" strip of orange fabric
fabric for pillow back
one sheet of computer fabric paper
basic sewing needs
fiberfill or stuffing
ribbon |

If
you have an old Halloween card or photo scan it to your computer than
print it on your computer fabric paper. You can find computer fabric
paper at your local fabric shop. If
you do not have one, search the internet for vintage Halloween cards.
Make sure there are no copyright laws against printing it. Most places
do not mind as long as it is for personal use and not resale. |

Cut the black strip of fabric to fit the
long side of your image. Pin pretty sides together. Stitch using a 1/4"
seam allowance. Do the same to the other side. |

Next cut the black strip to
fit the short sides. |
 |
Pin pretty side together.
Stitch. |
 |
Next cut and sew the orange
strips of fabric in the same manner. |

Hand stitch the opening
closed. Your adorable Vintage Halloween Pillow is finished! Add it with
your other favorite handmade Halloween decorations. |
