How to make yarn Christmas tree cones with glitter stars.

This Christmas Center Piece Project is so easy to make and looks lovely on a white or clear cake dish.

Free Christmas Center Piece  Project Idea:

How to Make Yarn Christmas Tree Cones with Glitter Stars

You will Need:

Styro-foam cones
green yarn
small pins
glitter stars
snow
glitter bird
cake dish for display

Take one cone and secure the yarn at the base with a flat head straight pin by putting it through the end of the yarn and wind the yarn around the pin once or twice. Push the pin at the bottom of the cone.
Wind the yarn around the cone starting at the bottom. Continue to wind it until it covered the entire flat top, adding extra yarn at the top to cover the Styrofoam and make it look like it had a point at the top and secured it with another straight pin.
Continue until all cones are layered with yarn.

The stars were bought from a little Christmas pick at a local craft store. I just poked the stars in the top.  So simple.  I love them.

Easy to make Christmas Center piece with yarn cone Christmas trees. Place in a dish, (I used my white pedestal cake dish) with some snow at the bottom.
Place the yarn cones in a pretty white cake dish and add snow and a glitter bird. I added a silver glitter bird to my display to match the glitter stars.

Enjoy,

Tricia
